Partner principles for community-led programmes
Peace Builder works with local partners who know their communities, under UK trustee oversight. These principles describe how roles, reporting, and learning cycles should work when delivery is community-led.

Partners are expected to lead day to day delivery while trustees retain accountability for finance, safeguarding, and public commitments. Neither side should be surprised by what the other needs to know.
Principles in practice
- Local leadership with transparent reporting to UK trustees
- Joint learning cycles after monitoring visits and termly reviews
- Safeguarding escalation paths understood before programmes scale
- Financial accountability aligned with Charity Commission expectations
Published principles will align with Peace Builder’s governing documents. Partners should expect clarity on budgets, materials, and when programmes may grow or pause.
Why it matters
Community-led delivery works best when roles, reporting, and learning cycles are understood by partners and trustees alike.
