Safeguarding framework summary
Safeguarding is not a separate brochure sitting beside delivery. It is written into how Peace Builder recruits, trains, agrees partners, and responds when something feels wrong.

Peace Builder applies the same seriousness to safeguarding in Sylhet classrooms as in UK-facing activities. Expectations are set in writing, checked on visits, and escalated through trustees when concerns arise.
Core expectations
- Written safeguarding standards in partner agreements
- Training for staff and volunteers who work with children
- Clear reporting routes to trustees and, where required, statutory agencies
- Regular review as programmes grow or contexts change
A longer web-ready summary document may be published when trustees approve the final text. Until then, this overview and the safeguarding pages together describe how the charity works in practice.
Why it matters
Families, schools, and regulators need confidence that children and adults at risk are protected consistently, in the UK and through partners overseas.
Connection to Peace Builder
Safeguarding runs through recruitment, training, and partner agreements. This summary describes the framework; full policies and reporting routes are on the safeguarding section of this website.
